The Onyx Tee® Ecosystem was created as more than a brand. It is a connected platform for storytelling, education, and venture exploration—rooted in African and diasporic heritage and informed by systems thinking. Each element of the ecosystem is intentionally designed to stand independently while reinforcing the whole, allowing ideas to evolve, connect, and grow over time.  My background in psychology, public health, and international, cross-cultural lived experience informs how this ecosystem is built—through humility, observation, adaptability, and a long-term perspective on impact and stewardship.



NSO — Original IP & Narrative Universe

NSO is an original character and narrative universe developed within the Onyx Tee® Ecosystem. Her origin story is grounded in African epistemology, language, and spiritual philosophy, drawing from the Adinkra symbol Nsoromma—often translated as “child of the heavens,” “child of God,” or “celestial being.” In Akan thought, Nsoromma represents guardianship, divinity, and the belief that all life is connected to a higher cosmic order.

NSO, as a diminutive form of Nsoromma, embodies this lineage of meaning—signifying innocence, curiosity, protection, and the divine spark present in every learner.

NSO represents curiosity, inquiry, and the lifelong pursuit of understanding. As an intellectual property, she serves as a foundation for educational storytelling, visual media, and future experiential formats—bridging imagination, knowledge, and identity across generations.

 

Kemet Academy — Education & Knowledge Systems

Kemet Academy extends the NSO narrative into structured learning experiences focused on knowledge systems, critical thinking, and contextual awareness. Designed as the educational expression of the ecosystem, the academy integrates storytelling, historical frameworks, and creative exploration to support learners across age groups.

Kemet Academy reflects a commitment to learning that is interdisciplinary, grounded, and accessible—connecting ancient knowledge traditions with modern applications.



Agoro Labs — An Emerging Sandbox for Creative Exploration

Agoro Labs is an emerging “sandbox” within the Onyx Tee® Ecosystem—created to explore creative solutions to current and future challenges through experimentation, building, and systems-centered thinking.

The name Agoro draws inspiration from West African traditions of self-directed creation, where children use curiosity, ingenuity, and limited resources to design and build their own bespoke toys. These practices reflect a deeper principle: innovation often begins with experimentation, resource constraints, and hands-on problem-solving.

Agoro Labs carries this philosophy forward as a space to test ideas, prototypes, and approaches—without the pressure of immediate scale or predetermined outcomes. Rather than operating as a formal accelerator or incubator, it functions as a flexible environment for inquiry, collaboration, and thoughtful experimentation, supporting concepts, new business models, and emerging brands as they evolve toward practical application and ecosystem alignment.
